My Why

For me, physical therapy has always been about more than treating an injury. It’s about helping people get back to the parts of life that make them feel like themselves.

That purpose became personal through my own family.

Watching my father go through significant health challenges changed the way I viewed health, movement, and the time we have with the people we love. I also watched my brother suffer a significant knee injury that took him away from basketball—something that had always been a major part of his life. Seeing him work his way back and eventually return to the court showed me firsthand how powerful rehabilitation can be. It isn’t just about getting stronger or becoming pain-free. It’s about getting a piece of your life back.

Those experiences shaped the way I practice today.

My goal is to help people return to what matters to them—whether that means competing again, training without limitations, playing with their kids, getting back to work, or simply feeling confident in their body again. And I don’t want to stop at getting someone back to where they were before an injury. Whenever possible, I want to help them come out of the process stronger, more capable, and better prepared for what comes next.

That same philosophy is behind the name Future Self.

I believe we should always be working toward the person we have the potential to become. I try to apply that to my own life every day—not only as a physical therapist, but as a father, husband, friend, and person. For me, that means continuing to develop mentally, physically, and emotionally, while constantly learning and refining my craft.

I hold myself to that standard because I want to provide the same level of care I would want for the people closest to me.

Future Self Performance & Rehabilitation was built around that idea: meet people where they are, understand where they want to go, and give them the individualized care, guidance, and support to help them get there.

Because rehabilitation isn’t just about returning to your old self.

It’s about building your future self.
